There is no difference in the turning ratio among control valves. The feel, or the amount of force it takes to turn the steering wheel, changes between them based on the torsion size. The lower the number, the easier your car will steer. For example the 0.185 control valve requires less steering effort than the 0.250 control valve.
Most sand rails, dune buggies, and baja bugs will use around a 0.200 to 0.210 torsion. Race cars, trophy trucks, and desert racing usually prefer a heavier torsion around 0.250
This control valve bolts directly to a power steering ram or rack and pinion box. The hexagon slides directly into the rack and pinion. The other side of the control valve uses a 3/4-30 spline coupler or universal joint for the steering shaft.

AN #6 Pressure Leading to Left Hand Side of Ram
