This new all billet aluminum Jamar Performance rear disc brake kit is the ultimate in stopping power. It features 4 piston brake calipers and mechanical emergency brake calipers. It will work on 1968 beetle long axle swing axle transmissions or 1969 up to 1979 beetle IRS transmissions. It can also be used with after market boxed trailing arms, but you have to clearance two edges of the trailing arm as show in the above picture.
Light weight billet aluminum hub, with a chromoly center, and billet aluminum calipers. Long axle refers to the amount of splines that the rotor slides onto. On a long axle application you will have 2 1/2" of spline not including the threaded area for the axle nut. If your car is IRS, then you will need a long axle brake kit.
Jamar Performance Brakes Features:
5 Lug VW bolt pattern ( 5 on 205mm ).
Calipers Are Threaded For 1/8NPT Brake Fittings
14mm x 1.50 Pressed In Wheel Studs
Works with standard beetle brake drum emergency brake cables
Kit comes complete with:
2 Rotors
2 Four Piston Calipers
2 Emergency Brake Calipers
2 Brackets
It does not include axle nuts, lug nuts, seals, or emergency brake cables.
